This compound houses Division One of the Gotei 13, led by the Captain-Commander of the Shinigami forces. It is through here that all orders first pass. The members of the First Division are the most well rounded of all Shinigami, and rank above all others save the Central 46 and the Soul King. |

This is where the Central 46 operates and carries out it's duties in the Seireitei. Shinigami taken here are to be judged by the Central 46 and, in the event that they are to be executed, are taken to the Shrine of Penitence where they stay until they are later brought to the Soukyoku and incinerated by the Kikoo. In the event that they are found innocent, they are set free. In addition, there is a secret prison known only to the Central 46, First Division and Second Division called the 'Maggot's Nest'. |
